Hi everyone! My name is Jasper Daniels. I was diagnosed with a rare condition in 2015 called Dermatomyositis and then later Interstitial Lung Disease. My immune system attacks my muscles, skin, and lungs. When I first got sick, I relied on my family and friends to help me gain movement and strength again. It has been a long battle, but we keep on winning. To God be the Glory, I have not had any flare-ups in the last 3 years. No meds for the first time and been strong. Doing what I love! Working, Ministry, and enjoying life.
Just recently, I passed out in my home in my closet. When I came to, my roommate rushed me to the hospital, and I discovered I had blood clots on the lungs. Normal range for muscle enzymes (CK levels) is between 45-250 for males. My enzymes were over 2000, which has caused muscle fatigue and weakness on top of the difficulty breathing. I am currently on oxygen.
After a week of hospital stay, I have now since been transferred to a rehab facility. Grateful for all my family, friends, and church who have stepped up to assist and to keep me lifted during this difficult time. My current facility has not given me the greatest care, and I am in the process of leaving soon to a new facility to continue my rehabilitation.
I want to first say I am evidence that miracles do happen. The blood clots on my lungs could have taken me out of here, but God has continually sustained me. He is my healer. And this will not stop my calling and destiny. I am not leaving here until my purpose is complete. This is a minor setback.
I recently started my new job in May of this year. I will be out of work for some time. I can use your support during this time to help me during this process. Funds received will be used to cover out-of-pocket costs for rehabilitation, procedures, and continual care, my personal responsibilities like rent, bills, and food. I am humbly asking for your help so that these financial concerns do not distract me from focusing on my healing and restoration.
I am a believer in Jesus Christ. More than anything, please keep me in your prayers. Thank you in advance for your support during this challenging time. Thank you to my family, church, and friends who have been holding me down. I love you! Let’s get another Victory!
**Special Thanks to my sister for typing this out for me.
