There are moments in life when faith is all we have to stand on.

Recently, Missy experienced a sudden and serious heart event that led to emergency open-heart bypass surgery. What began as a frightening medical crisis quickly became a long and intense hospital stay, including time on a ventilator and critical cardiac support. By the grace of God, she made it through surgery — and we are holding tightly to the promise that He is not finished with her story.

Missy and her husband, Charlie, have built their family on love and faith. They adopted two beautiful daughters from birth — one now 12 years old and one almost 3. These precious girls depend on their mom’s strength, comfort, and unwavering love. Right now, she needs the space and peace to focus fully on healing so she can return home to them stronger than ever.

The road ahead will include continued recovery, rehabilitation, medications, and time away from work. The financial strain of emergency surgery and ongoing medical care can add stress during a season when peace is so desperately needed.
