Hello, my name is Denis, I live near Sarlat in the Dordogne region, France.

I have met Saed (Saed Basem Abu Kamil, 22 years old) on a social média. I was impressed by his honesty, mindfulness and resilience and was moved by his tragic story. We became friends and i offered to help him in his dire situation.

That is the reason why i created this fundraiser.

Saed used to work in a petrol station in Gaza, and also helped his family on a small plot of land, growing fruits and vegetables.

He lost everything on the first days of the war, and both his parents were killed under the bombardements.

Since then he has been displaced a few times, in a camp, in a crowded tent with other family members, and sometimes alone in makeshift shelters.

Today, thanks to the donations he has received, his situation has slightly improved. He know lives with his uncle Basam, in a small appartement, in Gaza City.

But daily life is still a struggle, with no electricity or heating, and no proper isolation, he has no protection from the cold winter.

So the goal of this fundraiser is to help him obtain essential goods, like food, sanitary products, warm clothes and blankets, and also help him towards paying his part of the rent.

Every donation, even small, makes a big difference and is greatly appreciated. The funds are sent to Saed through a PayPal account
