During Christmas 2024, Archie and his family had their lives turned upside down when he was diagnosed with the ultra-rare condition, Duchenne MD - Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy affects between 1 in 5000 to 10,000 people and is a condition that attacks the muscles in his shoulders, arms, hips and legs. If it’s not treated promptly, it will restrict his ability to stand, walk and do everyday activities like picking up and carrying things. It will eventually leave him reliant on a wheelchair. I’ve joined #TEAMARCHIE and Kilkenny Fairstone Hub will be doing a 5km walk on May 22nd at 3.30 in the Kilkenny Castle Park. Please help me raise money for Archie to get the treatment and support he and his family need. Together, we’re aiming to raise €150k by June.
