Hello again, friends.
As many of you know, Fairen had surgery last year to repair a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in her back right leg—a common issue for older, larger breed dogs. At the time, my vet and many fellow dog owners warned me that once one knee goes, the other often follows. Unfortunately, that time has come.
While Fairen is still mobile, she’s clearly favoring her remaining good leg, and based on how things progressed last time, it’s very likely she’ll need another surgery soon to maintain her quality of life.
I’m starting this second GoFundMe now to give myself enough time to raise the funds needed for her x-rays, medication, and the surgery itself. I’ll also need to schedule the procedure in advance, as the surgeon stays booked out for months.
Any donation, big or small, will help ease the financial burden and get Fairen the care she needs as quickly as possible. Thank you so much for your continued support and love for my girl.
