As recently broke in the news, Fair Fight Action has announced layoffs constituting 75% of current positions. While the union is engaged in bargaining to preserve and mitigate any in-unit positions, drastic cuts are unavoidable, and several non-union positions have already been laid off effective immediately.

As these layoffs come as a complete shock to staff, this fund is meant serve as support for staff who now face a sudden loss of income - affecting their ability to make rent, support their families, pay bills, and continue their lives. It will be available to staff affected by layoffs, on a first come first serve basis in increments. Any remaining funds will be distributed at the close of layoffs among all staff affected.
