Help Dave G. Communicate and live with ALS

Dave Gundersen has been my friend for over 30 years. We met when we were young and hale. Dave has a host of friends and  family, active with historical recreation and gaming groups, and lover of extremely large Maine Coon cats. His wife Linda is the strongest person I know--I remember when they met, a warm sunny day at a renaisance fair.
But a few years ago, Dave was diagonosed with ALS. He has declined with the disease over the last few years, and now he needs our help. Dave is in need of a high end computer and eye tracking technology to give him a better quality of life and to communicate with his loved ones. 
To this end, I propose to use the funds collected to purchase a Dell G7 17 laptop:( Dell G4 17 Laptop  ) which has all the specifications needed to run the eye tracking software. 
The next bit of technology is the Tobii Dynavox PCEye  eye tracker unit and software: ( Tobii Dynavox PCEye  ).
I reaize it is a lot, but Dave needs it.

Some of you might remember (or for those who are new, may I introduce) my husband David Gundersen as Lord Leif Tuborgson the last seneschal of the Shire of An Dubhaigeainn, of the East Kingdom, and the first seneschal of the Barony of An Dubhaigeainn.  His place in Rocky Point, NY was the place to be for commons and fight practices.   At commons that ran late, if you stayed late and dozed off you were treated to the sound of thump thump thump which was the sound of our Maine Coon cat Torvald Broadbelly making off with someone's shoe. Torvie also played a part at our SCAdian wedding during the first baronial St. Andrews as a broker with Norman the Norman. Along with the annual silver gift of Hershey kisses he required his share of Meow Mix, which often confused some of the event guests until it was explained that Torvald Broadbelly truly was king of the household!
