Fae's Journey: From Roadside to Recovery

Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m Jordan and this little cutie is Fae.

Fae was recently found on the road when I was on the way to work. I moved her out of the road and then checked her over to find out she was in a really bad state of health. Her left eye was crusted shut with her right eye barely open, she was coughing and sneezing (looked to be some sort of infection), and on death's doorstep. I picked her up and took her in to take care of her and bring her back to health. After an initial vet visit, there wasn’t much hope. The night after the vet, she started going downhill and we couldn’t get her to eat at all. She then started having mini seizures and was rushed into the emergency vet. They told me it was going to be a long shot, but I had to either go all in or put her down. I chose to give this little girl the chance she wasn’t given from the start. I had her in around-the-clock care to get her stabilized and fix her glucose levels, anemia, and temperature regulation. After two full days, she was released back to me for at-home around-the-clock care. Since then, she’s been recovering, gaining weight, being more of a kitten, and starting to play with whoever came into her life to help care for her. My mother and friend Zoey helped me care for her while I was at work, so we all made sure she has been given the best care. I have exhausted all of my animal care credit ($2,800), paid out of pocket ($650), and this is where things start to get hairy. She recently had her eye rupture (something we knew might happen from her infection) and the inch tip of her tail has died and BOTH need to be removed. The emergency vet helped me source places to take her for surgery and looked for the cheapest ones... $1700 after both surgeries with follow-up and medications.

I love this little girl and she’s trying to live. She’s been through the wringer and keeps on trying to live, so I can’t give up on her. We need your help to not get buried in medical bills and make sure this sweet baby makes it!

We appreciate anything you can spare. Help me keep her happy and healthy so she can grow up to be a one-eyed crop-tail survivor kitty.
