Fadel's Fight

Two years ago my younger brother Fadel was a strong and athletic 29-year-old construction worker. He loved going to the gym and riding his motorcycle around town. However, in November of 2021, Fadel's life turned upside down when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  

This cancer is a beatable one, but sadly, treatment is out of reach to the average Lebanese citizen like Fadel. This is due to the high cost of treatment and lack of medication in the country. Furthermore, much of our family's life savings has been lost due to the collapse of the Lebanese currency, which in turn delayed Fadel's fight to try to beat cancer. When Fadel finally started chemotherapy, our hope turned to dismay with each unsuccessful treatment. The doctors said radiation was too risky as it would cause serious damage to his heart and lungs. The only hope Fadel has now is to undergo bone marrow stem cell treatment. Fortunately, he has a donor but we need to collect $75,000 for the treatment.

We need your help so Fadel can win this fight! 

At 31, Fadel has his whole life ahead of him. He dreams of returning to a job he loves, getting married, and starting a family. His doctors predict that he has a 70% chance of beating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma if he can get the bone marrow stem cell treatment. It scares me to think that my brother might die a completely preventable death because we can't afford the treatment and because he doesn't live in a first world country. We have a month to collect the funds and start treatment. Please help in whatever way you can to give my brother Fadel that 70% chance to beat cancer.
