My name is Adele. As a British expat who has found a true home in the heart of this wonderful community here in Tenerife, I wanted to take on a meaningful challenge this year. I’ll be running my very first half marathon at the Medio Maratón Las Galletas!

While crossing that finish line is a big personal goal for me, I want this run to mean even more by raising funds for a cause that touches so many of us on the island. I am raising money for FACT – Fighting Against Cancer Tenerife, a local charity that supports people and families affected by cancer across the island. Cancer touches so many lives, and organisations like FACT provide vital help, guidance, and practical support to those going through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. As a local charity, FACT relies heavily on donations and community support to continue their work. The funds raised through this page will help them provide services such as patient support, information, assistance for families, and programmes that improve the wellbeing and quality of life of people affected by cancer.
Running 21.1 kilometres will definitely be a physical test for me, but knowing that every step helps support people in our community makes the long training miles incredibly worthwhile.

I am already so grateful for the amazing initial support and encouragement from my colleagues at Chase Buchanan, who have been backing me from day one.
