Hello everyone,

My name is Soraida, and this is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to write.

I have worked all of my adult life and have always done everything I could to take care of my family and help others whenever they needed me. I never imagined there would come a time when I would be the one asking for help, but today I am facing a crisis that I cannot overcome on my own.

I recently received a 3-day notice for unpaid rent and am now facing eviction. The fear of losing my home and becoming homeless has been overwhelming. I am doing everything I can to find a solution, but time is running out.

While my four adult children do not live with me, they do everything they can to help and support me when possible. Unfortunately, they each have their own financial responsibilities and are not in a position to cover the amount needed to save our home. I also help care for my sister and her two children, ages 11 and 17, who depend on having a safe and stable place to live.

To make matters worse, I no longer have a vehicle due to financial hardship. Without reliable transportation, it has become much more difficult to manage daily responsibilities and maintain stability during this difficult time.

I am not asking for a handout. I am asking for a helping hand.

The immediate challenge is catching up on rent and essential bills. Once those obligations are brought current, I can manage my monthly expenses and continue moving forward. Right now, the overdue rent and bills are the barrier standing between my family and homelessness.

For years, I have been the person others could count on. Whenever I was able, I helped family, friends, and anyone in need. Today, I am humbled to be in the position of asking for that same kindness and compassion.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:

Preventing eviction and keeping a roof over our heads

Catching up on overdue rent and essential bills

Maintaining a safe and stable living environment for my family

Helping me get through this crisis while I continue working toward financial stability

I believe that hard times do not last forever, and I am determined to get through this. Right now, I simply need help keeping my family safe and housed while I regain my footing.
