Facing eviction & homelessness
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Angel. Due to my roommates leaving at the same time as my jobs significantly cutting my hours to just 1-2 days a week created the perfect storm for me becoming behind on my rent. Additionally, my autopay bills, caused the remainder of my rent payment for February to bounce causing even more fees that I have to pay. Every day for the last 3 months I've spent a lot of time applying for jobs, studying for interviews, doing art/music commissions for food/gas money, and looking for a job that works with my school schedule while also trying to balance my studies at school.
I have no help and nowhere to go if I lose this place, both of my parents are deceased and I plan to try to complete my schooling and live in my car if I have to if I am fully evicted. I have plans set up for a close friend to take over my old roommate's spot in a little over a month to help with my expenses but I've only been given 15 days to pay my landlord in full what I'm behind on and the rent for March.
I am making this to reach out to my friends, family, and acquaintances who would be able to spare anything to help while I am at the finish line for completing my degree. I have a couple of interviews lined up but due to this month being so short and LA County changing their eviction protection laws this month, I am officially out of time to collect everything I am behind on.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read about my struggles. If I am not able to meet the full amount I will use any donations accrued to get a storage unit for my belongings and live out of my car until I am stable again with a job that will support my basic living needs.
