Facing a Charge for Lost Dorm Key

I have unfortunately been put in a situation where my dorm key was misplaced by another person, and now I am being held accountable for it and being charged. I am currently unable to pay out of pocket, hence why I come to you all for help. I would so appreciate anyone who can help me out!
