Hi, my name is Paige Thomas and I’m fundraising for my dear friend, Mohammed Abo Obaid, who is currently seeking evacuation from Occupied Palestine. Mohammed is a UI/UX designer looking to continue his education and work in design, outside of Occupied Palestine, after more than 4 months of a forced hiatus from work. This forced hiatus comes as a direct result of the current bombardment in Gaza. Below is a statement from Mohammed outlining his current situation and need for financial assistance to evacuate.

Hello,

My name is Mohammed, residing in Deir al-Balah in Gaza. I am reaching out in desperate need of help and support due to the recent war's profound impact on my life and the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Gaza.

My home has been partially destroyed by artillery shelling, leaving us without proper shelter and facing extreme difficulties. The destruction extends to neighboring homes, resulting in the tragic loss of four dear friends. Furthermore, I have lost my job as a freelancer in the field of UI/UX design, where I achieved a "Job Success 100%" badge on the Upwork platform.

The suffering in Gaza is immense, with many families experiencing similar ordeals. The scarcity of resources, the constant threat of conflict, and the widespread destruction have left countless individuals in dire need. The loss of homes, livelihoods, and, most tragically, the loss of innocent lives have created a humanitarian crisis that requires urgent attention.

I am humbly appealing for financial assistance to rebuild our lives, meet basic necessities, and contribute to the collective efforts of rebuilding Gaza.

The Israils war plans bombed my university, help me continue my education out of Gaza.
