Help Refugees in Greece and Turkey

This summer, Face of Humanity (FoH) is sending volunteers to areas in Greece and Turkey to provide critical humanitarian relief to victims of the Mediterranean refugee crisis. FOH heavily relies on donations to to bring food, water, and basic supplies to these people in need and we need your help this summer! 100% of all contributions goes DIRECTLY to refugees.

Fleeing war and economic devastation, more than 5,000 lives were lost in the Mediterranean Sea by the end of 2016*, according to the International Organization for Migration and the U.N. Refugee Agency. That’s up from 3,771 in 2015, when more than 1 million migrants and refugees crossed into Europe by sea. With no end in sight, this has been deemed the worst refugee crisis since World War II. A deal between European Union and Turkey from March 2016 leaves over 60,000 refugees and migrants bottlenecked in Greece since the borders across the Balkans have been sealed off.

About Us: The Face of Humanity (FoH) is a grassroots organization founded in 2015 by one concerned world citizen with an aim to make a difference. FoH has sent small volunteer-led groups to Kos, Ritsona & Athens in Greece to support stranded refugees with food, water, clothing, blankets, common household items, sanitation items, etc., alongside a very compassion-driven approach to helping those in need adjust to a new way of life, albeit how temporary it might be.

Our goal: Directly impact victims of the Mediterranean refugee crisis. As opposed to large NGO organizations only contributing a fraction of donations to those in need, 100% of donations raised here will directly go to refugees. This summer, FoH will be sending volunteers to help refugees and migrants in Izmir, Turkey & Athens, Greece. Most of the camps in Izmir are non-official camps and are ill equipped to handle large amounts of people hence rely on the continuous support of individual volunteers and small NGO groups. Most of those living in and around Athens are living outside in the city center or in squats, which also rely on individual volunteers and small NGO groups.

Some of the work we'll be doing includes:

❖      Food/water provisions

❖      Distribution of items

❖      Sanitation help with camps

❖      Providing support for a children’s school

❖      Transportation for asylum appointments & medical emergencies

ALL donations, big and small, have a huge impact on these people in need.  Help us be the face of humanity in the midst of this humanitarian crisis, and help us set an example for future generations.

With every donation, you will be directly impacting the quality of life of a refugee.

Thank you sincerely for your support, it means the world to us and to those whose lives will be impacted by it.

- Sasha, Madiha, and the entire Face of Humanity team
