I am a mountain biker and I am fundraising for BC Children’s hospital. As a father of three young girls having gone through extensive stays in hospital, this fundraiser is an attempt at giving back to the amazing nurses and doctors who took care of our little ones and who are selflessly taking care of so many families every day. More money is always needed to get them the resources they need, drive the research forward and continue saving our kids’ lives. Their work is so hard and so precious to our communities and I am and will be forever grateful to them.

On June 24th, with 14 mates, I will attempt to complete the Triple Crown, a 3,000m elevation, 60km, 12 hours mountain bike ride from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay through the peaks of the 3 mountains towering the city of Vancouver. This is my Everest. I trained for 2 years for this day, in every season, and I am still unsure that I can complete it. When things will get hard out there on the trails, I will think about the kids who fight for their lives in the hospital. Every dollar that we will donate will take them a little closer to being able to experience the joy of spending a day on a bike in the mountains.
