Face masks for key worker staff

A small team of volunteers and 3D Printing enthusiasts have got together to create FaceMasks for Key Workers.

The 3D printers have so far been busy at JB3D, LSD,  & good old Matt's house!

We also have the Team from Tatcon Blackpool on board with us who have purchased their own 3D Printer to speed up the manufacturing process.

The 1st 40 have been delivered to a local surgery with many more coming off the beds, to give at least some protection to those  we are now 100 % relying on.

Why are we doing this? It's about lives, folks, anyone with a 3D printer & access to the visor materials can get involved, no matter how many or few, no matter what area in the UK you are, even if it's just for the local shop workers, get them printing.

We are looking for funding to buy Filament for our machines as this is completely not for profit everything has so far been paid for out of our own pockets. Please give as much or as little as you can, it all helps us make more masks which in turn helps us SAVE LIVES.

UPDATE

As we near £2000 in donations for this cause, one of the main spending factors has turned out to be the screening material. There is at the moment a UK shortage of the .5mm sheet we use that will withstand many different uses. This is now coming into us at £1.66 per sheet. The only alternative is laminated plastic wallets, but these are not as clear as the sheets. So do please keep donating and sharing the post to all your friends and colleagues.

So far we have helped so many different groups of workers and each time the thanks we receive is humbling.
