Face Masks for Front Line Workers in COVID

Do you, or does anyone you know work as a healthcare provider (Respiratory therapist, MD, DO, PA, NP, RN, LPN, MA or first responder)? How about about a cashier, clerk, delivery driver, postal worker, restaurant worker, factory worker or ANYONE who has to work in public or expose themselves to others for work?

If you or a friend, family member, or other loved one is working on the front line of the fight against COVID-19 and does not feel they are being provided with adequate personal protective equipment, please complete the following form .  

I am raising money to help send n95 masks, eye protection, and other PPE directly to healthcare workers and first responders.  My initial fundraising goal is modest because I want to get this first batch shipped out as soon as possible with larger goals to follow. 

As you all know, we are experiencing an unprecedented global pandemic of SARS-COVID19. I am a physician assistant (PA-C) and epidemiologist. About 4 weeks ago when it became apparent to me that nationwide our health system would soon be inundated by COVID patients I went to my practice management and warned them of what was coming, and how much personal protective equipment (PPE) would be needed to keep our practice open, and our staff and patients safe.

They listened. They gave me permission to purchase any protective equipment for the practice that I felt we needed and whatever quantity I felt necessary. Our usual trusted vendors have not been offering the N95 respirators, gloves, surgical masks, face shields, or isolation gowns, so I had to purchase a lot of this equipment from other suppliers online and elsewhere but now my practice has enough. We have a safe decontamination and recycling protocol for n95s. We have enough surgical masks, eye protection, gloves, and isolation gowns. I know where I can get more at any time. It is not right that some workers are being asked put their lives on the line without adequate protection.
