SADIE STILL NEEDS OUR HELP! Urgently!
Donation protected

LATEST UPDATE SEPT 17, 2024
Hi Friends,
I’d like to take the time to once again thank everyone that has contributed to help Sadie with the ongoing costs of treating her very serious Cushing’s Disease. Especially our newest and very generous donor. We all love her so much.
This brave girl is ALWAYS SMILING!
Please scroll down to see Sadie’s history, and I’m happy to answer ANY questions privately or otherwise. It has been at least 6 months since the last fundraising effort. I have taken on her basic costs of over $400 a month and intermittent tests mostly on my own and with help from family during this time, but we need urgent testing again, and resources now are non-existent.
The MOST IMMEDIATE need for Sadie is the set of tests I’ll post here as an estimate, which is around $900 - $1,000 with $350 needed immediately.
Sadie is showing signs of another UTI, and it needs to be contained so it doesn’t become chronic like when I adopted her.
A lot of what we are dealing with is because of the terrible condition she was in when I got her.
She is also due for her ACTH stim test, to check her dose of VETORYL, a good but dangerous drug that MUST be monitored. She also needs a blood panel, bc she is still showing signs of liver and kidney problems, like her urine not concentrating, so I have to walk her VERY frequently.
THE ESTIMATE IS FOR THE MOST URGENT ONLY, and doesn’t include a doctor visit or her regular or preventative items. There are a LOT of needs.
I will very gladly accept donations directly to the veterinarian clinic (Lake Tapps Veterinary) or take Venmo, for those that prefer that.
Please know that every effort to keep this sweet angel at least somewhat healthy is being made every single day.
She is the most gentle loving soul and I want to help her. She is my beloved companion animal and we help each other.
Hi,
My name is Carmen, and I’m fundraising on behalf of sweet Sadie, a husky rescue I recently adopted. She arrived with a couple of infections, which have been treated, but she has a persistent UTI, and her urine isn’t concentrating, which indicates kidney issues. It now appears she has a metabolic disorder like Cushing’s or diabetes, possibly even kidney failure. I did not know this when I adopted her. She’s only 3 years old. She needs more tests right away and I’ve used all my resources. I truly don’t want to give her up, however, as someone else might not deal well with her problems. She has to go out ever 1-2 hours, starting before the sun comes up, and late into the night, but none of this is her fault.
Despite having constant ravenous hunger, pain, and endless thirst, Sadie is the most gentle, humble, and chill girl. Please open your hearts and help me help gentle Sadie. She is in a safe and loving place now and has good care. I’m looking to cover the costs of urgent more specific tests and medication, to get her stabilized. We are 25 percent, yay! As soon as we hit $500 she can get in for the Cushing’s test.
