Hello!

I’m Aaliyah Plummer - a senior TV/Film major at Howard University and director of the short film FACE IT. Throughout my matriculation, I have explored filmmaking by taking on roles such as executive producer, producer, unit production manager, assistant director, production designer, costumer, grip, and boom operator for countless short films. This melting pot of roles has not only allowed me to draw closer to my fellow Bison filmmakers, but has also equipped me with a utility belt of skills that I am now using for the production of my thesis.

FACE IT is a story about a girl’s plan to break up with her toxic best friend being interrupted when they must figure out how to save the Galentines party together.

Friendship, intuition, and self advocacy are important topics that many young women explore throughout young adulthood. I am honored to examine these subjects through the medium of film by using elements such as magic realism and comedy.
