Summit Elementary's "Fabulous Bacon Bits" were among 150,000 students competing in tournaments throughout the US and 30 countries to earn a spot at the Global competition in May. They have won honors for their creativity, teamwork, and problem solving in local, state and regional tournaments. They EARNED the opportunity to participate in Destination Imagination's Global Finals.

This program offers high quality, STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) challenges that help bridge the gap between what students learn in school and the skills they will need to thrive in an ever-changing world. The kids at summit have chosen a technical challenge where they designed and built an operating vehicle with two different propulsion methods. It has to transform between their drill powered car and fan-driven hovercraft during a skit performed with an in-depth story and homemade costumes and props.

The deserving "Fabulous Bacon Bits" must earn 18,000 to show their skills at Globals. Donations will help with airfare, registration, meals, & housing. All donations are tax-deductible and those  over $100, will get your name/logo on the back of our shirts that we will proudly wear as we represent the Woodland Park School District, Colorado and America.
