Hello everybody,
I’m writing on behalf of my cousin, Fabiola, who urgently needs help. She lives in Trinidad & Tobago and has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH)—a condition that causes severe headaches, dizziness, and swelling of the optic nerves. If she doesn’t receive immediate medical attention, she could lose her eyesight completely, making it even harder for her to find work, care for herself, and provide for her children.
Fabiola was hospitalized for days, undergoing tests and procedures, and during that time, she lost her job. Every dollar she had saved went toward medical expenses, leaving her with nothing. Now that she’s been discharged, she has no home to return to and is staying in shelters in Trinidad, which, as you can imagine, are even worse than those in the U.S.
She is also a mother, and while her children are safe with other family members, she needs a stable place to live so she can heal and rebuild her life. The medical system in Trinidad is slow, costly, and unreliable, and she still needs urgent scans and treatment to manage her condition before it’s too late.
How You Can Help
Right now, Fabiola urgently needs support for:
• Medical care & tests to prevent permanent blindness
• Basic necessities like food & medication
• A safe place to stay while she recovers
We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone. Any donation—big or small—will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, please share this so we can reach more people who can help.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Let’s help Fabiola get back on her feet before it’s too late.
