Fabian Needs Us: Join His Healing Path

I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend, Fabian Perez, who was recently involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. While riding, a leaking tire malfunctioned, causing him to crash. The accident left him with severe injuries: fractures in both hands, wrists, and forearms; dislocated shoulders; extensive road rash; broken ribs; a punctured lung; and an 18-inch laceration across his abdomen. Fabian has already endured four surgeries and is expected to undergo several more in the coming months.
A bit about Fabian: Not long ago, he made a bold and exciting career change—leaving behind his work as a mechanic to pursue his dream job as a ballistics armor engineer, where he proudly supports local law enforcement and LEO programs. Tragically, because of the timing of his job transition, he wasn’t able to secure health insurance through his new employer. While he does have auto insurance, it’s still unclear how much—if anything—will be covered when it comes to the extensive medical costs he’s now facing.
I met Fabian about five years ago—at a time when making meaningful adult friendships felt increasingly rare, and the world seemed a bit upside down. From the moment we met, Fabian has been one of the most sincere, kind-hearted, and loyal people I’ve ever known. He treats everyone like family from the first handshake, always going out of his way to help, support, or simply show up for those around him. He’s the kind of person who insists on picking up the check when you go out, even if it means stretching his own budget. As a USMC veteran myself, I’ve always deeply appreciated how openly and proudly he supports service members and veterans alike.
Fabian has been there for so many of us—offering his time, his heart, and his unwavering loyalty. Now, he needs our help. If you’re able, please consider donating to help cover his mounting medical bills and support him through what will be a long and difficult recovery. Every little bit helps, and more than anything, it reminds him that he’s not in this fight alone.
