Supporting the Smith’s

Hi everyone,

As some of you may already know, our little fighter Mirii has been fighting a pretty intense battle against bacterial meningitis which has seen Jess, Trav and Frankie needing to relocate to Sydney Children’s Hospital for specialist intervention & ongoing support for Mirii.

Thus far, it has been a month away from their support network, their families and those closest to them.

Both Jess and Trav have taken time from work, Frankie has taken time from school to support their youngest daughter and little sister.

As they’re friends, extended family and community, we can only imagine the toll that this has taken on all aspects of their lives, including financially.

Mirii and the Smith’s have a long road ahead, estimating at least another month or so before Mirii can even reach Wagga.

The ongoing support Mirii will need once she does make it back to Wagga will include a variety of specialists involvement such as physio, OT, speech and a multitude of appointments which will see lots of time off work for Jess and Trav in supporting Mirii in getting back to her fun, happy, vibrant, active and bubbly self!

We understand these days and times are hard for everyone, although we are asking with the upmost respect and gratitude for those who are in a position to do so, please dig deep and support our beautiful Smith Family in helping Mirii get better.
