Our beloved friend was simply driving home when her life changed in an instant. She became an innocent victim of gun violence after being struck by a stray bullet in Hartford that shattered her jaw. She has already undergone two surgeries, and the bullet remains lodged in her jaw. For the next eight weeks, her jaw will be wired shut to give it the best chance to heal. Once it has healed, she will need another surgery to remove the bullet and continue her recovery.
