Flight Training

Hello! This go fund me is set up to assist me in completing my instrument rating with the ultimate goal of becoming a commercial pilot.

Currently, I hold my private pilot and am 2/3 through my instrument training. My goal is to have my instrument training completed by Summer 2023. After which I plan to move on to my commercial rating. I train out of Wings Flight School at the Nut Tree airport in Vacaville California. At the moment all of my flight lessons are self-financed. AKA I work A TON and try my hardest to spend as little money on myself as possible. I currently fly once a week, twice if I can swing it. The reality is, I should be flying at least 2 x a week minimum. Each flight lesson ranges from $350-$400. Yup, you read that right! At a minimum, I'm spending $1600 a month on flight training. Maximum $2400. This price doesn't factor in gas to and from, rental insurance and all the other fun stuff.

For those of you that don't know me. I'm a single mom raising a teenage son. I currently work as a flight attendant. And it might sound silly but I never really thought becoming a commercial pilot was a real option for me until I started working for Virgin. Admitting that I need help is hard for me. Asking for assistance is a whole other level.
