Tisi Family Fund
Spende geschützt
Hello Everyone. First and most importantly, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to view this go fund me page and taking the time to read why this page was created. I am currently 20 years old and my father, Patrick Tisi, was diagnosed with bladder cancer on May 7th, 2014.
The months before May of this past year my father didn't seem his normal self..always tired..different attitude...some weight loss. Eventually he knew he had to go to the doctors and get things checked out and so along with some family he did just that and received the devastating news that bladder cancer was now a new battle he was going to have to face.
First, we started at Yale Smilow Cancer Center and originally it seemed as though the tumors on the bladder would be able to be removed through surgery, after a round of chemotherapy was complete. Soon thereafter, we learned that was unfortunately not the case as the cancer seemed to be much more aggressive then ever expected. The chemotherapy did not do much of anything to the tumors and during the time of waiting for chemotherapy to be completed and get results back, we learned the cancer had grown at a rapid pace.
It was then off to Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City where a 2nd biopsy was completed along with some other tests and unfortunately we learned that the mass on the bladder had grown, spread to a kidney, and the cancer had spread to the brain. There are currently 20+ lesions located on and around the brain itself. With that being said, radiation treatments were started immediately and now we are once again waiting on the results from radiation which should be received within the next four weeks.
My father is a man of strength, courage, and an extremely hard worker. He always did what he can do to give me the best all throughout my childhood and all I want more then anything is to give back to him. At this time, I am doing as much as I possibly can between juggling school in hopes of pursuing a career in law enforcement to follow in my father's footsteps along with working. With that being said, myself along with some family will be looking at future medical expenses, time away from work, and other possibilities that are still unknown. All prayers and donations will be so greatly appreciated!! God Bless and thank you once again for helping in any way possible. It means everything to my father and our family!!
