For Brian

As most of you have seen at this point, the home our friend Brian was just destroyed in a tornado. He and his (very large) family are all safe and unharmed, though certainly shaken.

The current estimate is 6-12 months out of their home and they are facing a number of difficulties. They are in a hotel for now and trying to find long-term housing. This is a tough task as there 8 of them. Given their rural location, getting the kids to school during this time will be an additional hurdle and expense.

In situations like this, reimbursements for covered costs come much later and there are many expenditures that are not covered. Brian is not someone comfortable with looking for or accepting handouts, so it took some prodding to get him on board with this. If you have anything to give, I know it will be appreciated. Please don’t give anything that would cause you any strain.

In the meantime, please keep Brian and his family in your prayers. I know he is touched and surprised by the outreach.

The gofundme site takes 30 cents of each donation plus 3% (3 cents per dollar raised). Beyond that, all funds raised will go directly to Brian.
