My name is Yolande Dixon, and I am a born Jamaican, now living in the USA. I am raising funds for my sister and her husband, who live and farm in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica — one of the parishes most devastated by Hurricane Melissa.
They are hardworking farmers who were already trying to recover after Hurricane Beryl destroyed their farm last year. They spent months rebuilding, only for Hurricane Melissa to strike and wipe out everything again. This time, the storm not only destroyed their farm but also tore apart sections of their home, causing major damage to their roof, walls, and personal belongings.
I am creating this fundraiser to help them rebuild both their home and their livelihood.
Funds will be used for:
• Roof repairs and replacing damaged boards, zinc, and structural beams
• Fixing interior and exterior walls
• Replacing destroyed household items etc.
Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help bring hope and stability back to their lives.
Every act of compassion counts — thank you for standing with them in this difficult time.
