Help for Multiple Families

We are helping several families who are badly in need of help:

One couple with 5 children managed to work their way into a duplex after months of homelessness (motel living). They had to pay over $500 to get their electricity turned on in their name. AFTER paying this, they were informed that they must pay an old bill that was in the husband's name, along with penalties, etc. This now totals an additional $1200. If they can't come up with the entire amount, all 7 of them will be forced to go back into a motel. The electric company will not accept a settlement or a payment plan.

One single mother with 3 kids (her two younger kids are pictured above) has been without food stamps since May, despite the fact that she easily qualifies and was receiving them previously. They will resume on November 1st, but we are trying to collect $500 for October to help them with food. She recently lost her part-time job, but she may be able to start soon at Luby's as a waitress. Her 14-year-old daughter is pregnant. The mom also needs at least $200 to pay to her probation officer to avoid getting an arrest warrant for an old charge. This amount is overdue.

Lastly, we have a couple with 3 small children (twin 2-year-old girls and a one-year-old boy). They've been regularly attending church with us, and he recently lost his job. They need help with their rent until he can land a new job. He is also an Army veteran and is looking at going back into the military in the upcoming months. Their weekly rent is $145. The monthly amount is $550.  

To meet all of these needs, we would have to raise $2450. I put the goal at $2650 to cover online fundraising fees. If you would prefer to pay via PayPal or check, let me know and I will get you the necessary information.
