On Sept 18 2014 , Brandon Lugan was headed home from School on his 50cc scooter when he was struck by an SUV at approx 40 MPH.
Brandon was rushed to UMC in Las Vegas , Nv. and amitted to the Trauma unit with extensive injuries - including : Broken hip with 11 screws and 4 plates . Broken pelvis with 2 screws and plates . Broken Vertebrea L3 , and we are now headed to Dr. to see if he also broke his foot .
As so many of you all know , my Husband was also injured Oct 2013 and has been out of work for a year due to an on the job injury that left his permanently disabled in both arms.
EVERY DIME of your contributons to help The Lugan family out with extensive list of medical bills is greatly appreciated .
I will post follow ups on his progress on his recovery , inclusinf in Home health with a nurse who will be assisting with his Physical Therapy until he can be listed as an outpatient service.
We are having to sell some of the only things we have left that is our pride and joy which is our ATV's .
As so many of you all know , Brandon is an avid rider and WORCS racer and has missed several races this year due to finacial hardships .
As many of you know we are a ATV family and selling his Quad is very tough, but during these difficult times from massive financial stress, we are forced to sell out to put towards all his medical bills and hopefully we can raise enough finds that we wont have to . Most important thing we are focising on right now is Brandon having a full recovery and we are all so blessed that he had no head trauma and is alive .
Brandon is 17 and is going to work hard to hopefully have a full recovery . Brandon will be undergoing EXTENSIVE Physical Therapy over the next 3 months minimum just so that he can walk without a wheelchair and walker. He is currently at a NO WEIGHT what so ever on his right side where all the major surgeries took place . Branons has has alot of staples from road rash and puntures to his arms, legs , buttocks ect...
Brandon has been assigned a tutor from school so that he can still graduate from High school this summer . They have been very helpful working through his injuries to make sure he has the resources to graduate in 2015 .
My family would like to thank everyone for there concern and donations .
God bless and thanks again .
Tina, Troy and Brandon Lugan
