This is incredibly hard for me to write. I’ve always been a very private and independent person and asking for help does not come easily. I have truly done everything I possibly can on my own, but at this point, I need the support of others.

We have lived in our home since April of 1999. It’s the only home my children have ever known. I have a 17‑year‑old son and a 12‑year‑old daughter who have grown up within these walls, surrounded by memories, love, and stability. Unfortunately, due to a series of circumstances beyond our control, we are facing the loss of our home on March 10, 2026, unless I can pay the full mortgage reinstatement. My investors require the entire amount, with no partial payments accepted.

Things were stable until Hurricane Helene hit in October of 2024. My partner had operated a trucking company for many years, and we even managed to survive the challenges of COVID. However, his guaranteed routes were primarily in Tennessee and the North Carolina mountains. With road closures and businesses shutting down, income slowed dramatically. Within a few months, his contracts were canceled completely. Suddenly, we were left with one income while the bills continued to pile up.

In April of 2025, we made the heartbreaking decision to shut down the business. My partner began driving for another company, but by then, we were already so far behind that we simply couldn’t catch up. We fell behind on our mortgage while trying to keep the lights on and food on the table. I reached out for help everywhere I could and explored every possible option, but I repeatedly hit roadblocks.

I have managed to save a significant portion of the reinstatement on my own. I worked overtime and drove for Lyft whenever possible to raise funds. Unfortunately, my car began having mechanical issues, and I had to stop driving for Lyft because I need a reliable vehicle to get to work and to get my children to school.

In November of 2025, I received a promotion at work and went from hourly to salary. I was genuinely grateful and excited for the opportunity, but it also meant losing overtime pay. The raise did not replace the income I earned through overtime, and once again, my monthly budget fell short.

As someone who grew up as a military brat and moved frequently, stability was something I always wanted for my children. That’s why keeping this home has meant everything to me. I am so close to saving it—but I am still $5,000 short.

Losing our home after 27 years, when we are so close to keeping it, would be absolutely devastating. If you can donate, share this page, or even keep us in your prayers, I would be deeply grateful. Every bit of support truly means more than I can put into words.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you’re able to offer.
