Dereks recovery fund

My friend and coworker Derek was involved in a accident back in July that resulted in him having a broken neck. He has been unable to work or do anything since July. His disability insurance ran out and he is unable to get help from social security or any programs. His only source of income since September has been his wifes salary. This accident happened a few weeks before he married Jackie. He has been in a neckbrace and really unable to do anything since the accident. He is having surgery on his neck but the recovery time is lengthy.
Derek is one of those guys that the glass is always half full. Always a happy guy and would give you the shirt off his back to help you. I have never seen him angry and he never has any hatred in his heart. He is always the life of any event and one of the nicest guys I have ever known. So I am starting this page to help him out. This life changing event has been very difficult on Derek and his wife Jackie. Both emotionally and most certainly financially. They really need some financial support to assist with just daily things to survive and with medical co pays and expenses involved with numerous doctors visits . So if you could please find it in your heart to help them I know they would appreciate it and I myself would be forever grateful.
