Jenny’s Fight Against Brain Cancer

Hi, I am Kelly, Jenny’s sister and I am reaching out to all of Jenny’s friends, family, co-workers and the community to rally around her during her courageous fight for her life against a high grade glioma, an aggressive brain cancer.

Jenny’s symptoms started in early September with what she initially thought was a headache. For the next week the headaches continued and she noticed a few more intermittent symptoms such as mental fogginess and occasional double vision. The evening of September 11th her headache got worse and she was advised to go to the emergency room. A MRI showed a mass in her right frontal lobe and she was then transferred and admitted to the neurology floor at Theda Care Neenah. She underwent surgery on 9/13 to resect the tumor. Although the surgeon was able to remove the tumor, this highly aggressive brain cancer will likely return and there is not currently a cure for this horrible disease. Jenny had an appointment with a neuro oncologist at Froedtert who is recommending another surgery to remove additional residual from the tumor. This surgery will take place in early October and she will start radiation and chemotherapy simultaneously after recovering from her second surgery. All of her cancer treatments may take place at Froedtert.

With the state of the art medical care and the love from her family and friends, Jenny truly is in the best hands possible! With this, her strong attitude and her young age, she has opportunities available to keep her healthy for as long as possible. However, with this fight will come the extra costs of countless treatments, procedures, medications, time away from work and travel for care.
