I received news on 8/23/19 that my best friend of 7 1/2 years had been diagnosed with cancer. My heart sank. Max to me is more than a Great Dane, he’s my emotional support system, my rock, my world. We’ve been inseparable since the day he came into my life. From living in California to driving across the country moving to New York, he’s been my right hand, so eager to tag along. The impact he’s made on my life and other’s is truly incredible. Max constantly reminds us to be: patient, accepting, and to have a pure heart. Max also comes to work with me at a facility for at risk youth. Working with the kids, and helping them emotionally. I can see they love him as if he was their own. Even now being sick, and at times visibly in pain, Max remains a gentle giant. He is scheduled for a surgical removal of the cancerous mass tumor, which is roughly the size of a softball, pushing against his stomach/intestinal tract on September 4th 2019. Hopefully they are able to remove it entirely. By donating you’d be helping contribute to the cost (this is not the entire total for the vet bill) for- the surgical removal, overnight stay in the hospital, and some of the chemotherapy treatments.
