Justice for Finn!

Hello everyone, my name is Tori and I’m trying to help my friends Cassie and Matt raise money after a horrific incident on Saturday, that left her beloved dog Finn dead. The funds will go towards a lawyer that will help represent Cassie, Matt and Finn.  Saturday afternoon 6/03/2023.I got a call from my best friend in hysterics, telling me to come to her house because the WACO POLICE DEPARTMENT came into her yard, and SHOT and KILLED her 10 year old black lab Finn. They then TASED her other dog Hannah. The police department had gotten a call about a break in, and came to the wrong address. The house that had actually called was one street over. No officer approached her front door or tried to make contact with the home owner. Instead, Cassie was taking a nap when she heard gun shots, her dogs screaming, and a man’s voice outside of her window. Completely confused and now scared for her own life, she realized her precious dog is bleeding out and there are cops standing around wide eyed because they’ve now realized they made a huge mistake. Finn was rushed to the Waco Emergency Clinic, and later succumbed to his grievous wounds.  Cassie is a veterinary technician, an animal lover like me, and one of the kindest and most loving people I’ve ever met. She and Matt are obviously devastated, and now scared to live in her own home because it could have just as easily been her that was shot. I’m posting on her behalf because she has enough stress fighting through her next steps, she doesn’t do social media, and most of all she is not the type to ask for help. I was there that day to speak to the trigger happy cops that did this, and they had nothing to say but “This kind of thing happens.”  Little remorse was shown for this whole incident, and they have now left this once peaceful little home in complete tragedy and disarray. Any help goes a long way. Lawyers are not cheap, and this incident does not need to be swept under the rug by Waco PD.We truly appreciate everyone’s support.
