Hi! My name is Julie and I have started a GoFundMe for my daughter and her partner, who recently suffered an electrical fire at home! Luckily no-one was hurt, but their kitchen was extensively damaged, and the rest of the house has been severely affected by the smoke.

I am trying to raise some money for them, as everything in their kitchen was ruined, including all of their food, household equipment, etc.

The soft furnishings, including sofas, mattresses, bedding will probably need replacing as it is very difficult to get smoke smells out.

We have put a plea out asking for help in donations, and if we can raise a bit of money to help them replace some of their stuff, every single penny will help!

Update - They have been given a kettle but need cups, glasses, crockery, tea towels, anything for the kitchen, cushions, a second hand sofa, a double duvet bedding / sheets for the little girls bed, a king size duvet bedding / sheets for the adults, pillows, they have no electricity or gas and are very cold so need blankets, donations for food, maybe a flask, camping stove, towels etc xxxx

They have tried to clean furniture, clothes and toys, but it looks like a lot of it will need replacing, as it is very difficult to get rid of the smell of smoke. They have a little girl aged 7 who is staying elsewhere but they are currently homeless as they have nowhere else to go.

They will not ask for help themselves, so i am asking on their behalf.
