My brother is my lifetime best friend. No one understands my craziness like he does. We don’t get to spend as much time together as we used to, or talk as much as we should, but he will always be my best friend. It hurts me to see him in pain and no matter the number of people I’ve cared for as a nurse, it doesn’t make a situation like this any easier. It’s hard when it’s your family.
He is not one to ask for help, neither am I, but this is a time when I think he could really use a hand like it or not. He has expressed how stressed he is because of the situation he is in. He is one of the most resilient and strongest men I’ve ever known, but even then he could certainly use some positivity and well wishes to get through this. He is the sole provider within his house for him and his 2 young boys. Not only is he going to have an atrocious amount of medical bills, but not being able to work, he’s going to struggle keeping up with everyday expenses within his house not to mention keeping a roof over the boys’ heads.
We currently don’t have any definitive answers for all of you that have asked. What I can relay is he had an accident at home on Monday October 15th which resulted in a fracture within his neck. He has undergone numerous tests and lab work. We will keep you updated as we know more. He will remain in the hospital for at least 5 more days as we await some results that will hopefully provide some answers.
We thank every single one of you for all your well wishes and prayers and we ask that you continue to keep him in your thoughts.
