"All hands on deck" helping Dedrick
Donation protected
Hello donors, I am Lumetric Cameron the wife of a Navy Veteran. Dedrick Cameron. Our daughters are ages 10 & 5. We solicit your support on behalf of this dedicated husband and father. He is a man of strong faith, always willing to help anyone, and someone that has never met a stranger. He is dedicated to his family, church, friends, and his Fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Why do we need your support? Well, Dedrick has been recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma or Kahler’s disease. What is Multiple Myeloma? It is a cancer of plasma cells, a type of white blood cell normally responsible for producing antibodies. In Multiple Myeloma, collection of abnormal plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow, where they interfere with the production of normal blood cells. He is currently undergoing Chemotherapy treatments and has successfully completed three rounds and has started on the fourth round. This journey is both emotional as well as an expensive one. Dedrick will receive a stem cell transplant on January 18, 2016 at MUSC in Charleston, SC. We will be away from our daughters for at least 5 heart breaking weeks. There are expenses that we will have to cover during this time such as medicine, housing, and meals. We are asking for any monetary donations towards any of these expenses. Every little bit will help! My God bless each and every one of you that contributed. We ask that you continue to keep our family in your prayers as we travel on this journey.
