Dental Implant Surgery
Donation protected
Hello;
Recently I had a 2 hour consultation with a dental surgeon at CAMH regarding Dental Implants. I was told that I had enough bone in my jaw and upper mouth to proceed. I will have screws implanted in my mouth and then I will have to wait 6 months before the procedure is completed using my own dentures.
Because I am a patient of CAMH, he can provide me with a full set of dental implants for $3,050 for dentures that can be removed or $3,650 for implants permanently (including $450 for an x-ray to help the surgeon place the screws in the right spots, especially the top placements) instead of $5,000 to $6,000 charged by dentists in private practice. Which procedure will be used will depend on the amount that I am able to raise. I am asking for $4,000 in case there are expected costs (like taxis to and from my surgery, extra costs at the dental clinic, etc.)
Breakdown:
Initial X-Ray $ 450.00
Bottom Implants $ 900.00 (removable) or 1,300.00 (permanent)
Top Implants $1,400.00 (removable) or $1,900.00 (permanent)
Total $2,750.00 (removable) or 3,650.00 (permanent)
This picture of me was taken 8 - 9 years ago at St. Paul's Bloor Street church. I am embarrassed to post a new picture of me. I have no teeth whatsoever, and am unable to wear my dentures due to migraine headaches that they cause.
Having a full set of implants will improve my life both physically and emotionally. I will be able to eat more quality foods, and this will help me to better control my Diabetic blood sugar numbers. Emotionally, I will feel better to have a full set of implants and be able to smile without feeling self-conscious.
I feel very comfortable having the surgery at CAMH because I am in a hospital setting if anything does go wrong, it can be dealt with immediately. In addition, my pain doctor is at CAMH so she can consult directly with the surgeon to make sure that I am comfortable during and after surgery.
I am writing because I need help with paying for this surgery. I have checked and I do not qualify for any assistance from government or private agencies.
I am asking you to pray about helping me financially to pay for this procedure. After that, if you feel called to do this, I would appreciate your financial gift.
Please point out my page to anyone else who can help me raise the necessary funds.
Thank you.
