Support Baby Mason's NICU Journey

Hi everyone

I wanted to give everyone a Mason update. We were supposed to go home on Tuesday, but they did an echo and found that he has some other heart issues that we weren't aware of that came up suddenly. Basically the muscle between his left and right ventricle are too thick and causing the pressure to be too high in his heart.

It's been broken down that it's medication could fix it, which were trying.

A cathader procedure to see the exact pressures if the medicine doesn't correct it, measure the pressures etc

If it's too high from the cath and the medicine doesn't work he will get another open heart surgery. Obviously not the news we or anyone else wanted to expected, especially considering we weren't told this until the day of discharge.

We appreciate your support and kindness as we try and navigate this situation, our hearts are absolutely broken and we wanted to be home in time for Christmas (hopefully we still can)

We haven't given up hope yet but it is an exhausting battle
