Hi, meet Meatball: a 1.5 year old bully dog with short legs and a big heart. Meatball found his way into our yard about 2.5 weeks ago, arriving with no collar and a bad limp. We tried to find his family but alas, no return calls from the contact registered on his microchip and no one in our neighborhood recognized him. He's the happiest and sweetest dude and so....we've decided to give him a place to live. That's right, Meatball is our very own low rider now and we're officially an unexpectant 2-dog household.

NOW, on to that bad limp - we've taken him to the vet and he needs surgery to repair what is essentially a torn ACL, to the tune of $10,000+ dollars. If we don't address this soon, he will eventually lose mobility and have poor quality of life. Unfortunately pet insurance is not possible as it's a pre-existing condition.

This little $10K surprise is not in our current budget so here we are. Who wants to help make the life of this sweet guy a little easier and longer? We'd be forever grateful for anything you can give and will post receipts as we have them.
