Hurricane Harvey Diabetic Relief

I am a 32 year old son who is engaged in a tragic battle to help my aging mother overcome her mental and physical health problems. She suffers from both bipolar schizophrenia and type II diabetes, both of which went undiagnosed for many years and ultimately resulted in her becoming homeless. I became aware of the gravity of the situation last August 2013 when she was staying in a homeless shelter and also was sleeping in her car and brought her in to stay with me in my one bedroom efficiency apartment. As uncomfortable and cramped the living situation became for us, I could at least take comfort that it was safer than where she was before. I was eventually able to move us to a two bedroom townhome closer to where I was working in February. Unfortunately, however, I was laid off from that job in April shortly after relocating and as a result of the increased stress, the chronic disease from which I suffer, Crohn's Disease, began to flare up and I have been hospitalized several times since. 

My health is substantially better that my mother’s because at that time I had a proper diagnosis and treatment plan with medication. My mother was still an undiagnosed schizophrenic with increasingly severe mood swings and manic phases. I was contemplating filing a mental health warrant on her behalf so that she would be forced to receive the adequate treatment she so desperately needed, but before I could began the paperwork, she called the Sheriff's Department threatening suicide; they issued an immediate warrant and subsequently she spent two weeks in the County Psychiatric Center. Thankfully she was finally diagnosed and we now have a treatment plan for her, but since she was discharged from the facility, I have to monitor her daily to ensure that she is taking her medication and to help mitigate any mood swings. 
As an example, the other day she grabbed the steering wheel from me while we were on the freeway and almost caused us to crash at 70mph; luckily I was able to maintain control, but these types of episodes are all too common. It is taking an inordinate amount of effort and time to try and stabilize her manic situation, and I am quite eager to return to work, but I cannot do so while my mother remains unhinged.
We are in the process of being evicted from our apartment and I will not be able to return to work for at least another couple of weeks. Please help us avoid losing our apartment and all of our possessions. We have worked so hard to turn everything around and my mother has made tremendous improvement; her becoming homeless again will destroy that progress and any hope she has for the future. Please help me save her life. All I am asking is for help with rental and utility expenses for the next month, as that will grant us enough of a cushion to move forward on our own.
