Steve’s fight against cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Brianna Seibert & my siblings (Brittany Stockie, Brice, Brian) and I are starting this fundraiser for our dad, Steve Seibert.
In February, our dad was not feeling well, so he went to the doctor & had a CT scan that showed not only a mass on his colon but also his liver & spine. A follow-up colonoscopy revealed our worst nightmare, cancer. Upon further testing and imaging, he was diagnosed on February 16th with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver, lungs, & lymph nodes. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has devastated our family.
Determined to fight this horrible disease, our dad started chemo right away, which he will do every two weeks for the rest of his life. On March 11th, he began his second round of chemotherapy. With the support of his wife Pam and us kids, we are working hard to get him through his treatments, and praying it works like it should to give us the most time possible with him.
Anyone who knows Steve knows he does not often ask for help. Usually, he is the one helping others. He has been working with at-risk youth at Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch for the last eight years and previously worked at Burdick Job Corp helping kids get their lives on track to finish their education. He has always had a passion for helping people. Our entire life, we've witnessed his kind heart at work and the laughter he brings to the room. Anything he can do to make someone’s day a little better he would do.
Our dad is unable to work now and has been on leave for over a month. This means our mother, Pam, is the only source of income for their household. For 15 years she has been employed at Minot Public Schools as a para working with children with special needs.
All funds will contribute to the financial burden while our dad undergoes his cancer treatments.
We cannot thank you enough for your support and prayers for our family. We are truly blessed.
