Hello,

I'm writing on behalf of my family and my dog, Maxie. As of Saturday (8/16), Maxie has not been eating, drinking water, getting out of his bed, etc. We took him to the emergency animal clinic on Sunday as his symptoms continued. Despite the visit and medication and fluids given, his condition worsened throughout the night on Sunday, and we took him to his usual vet on Monday morning. After blood tests, we were told Maxie is most likely suffering from pancreatitis. He has been receiving antibiotics, fluids, and other treatment as we monitor his health. He's still unable to eat and drink water on his own and is being syringe-fed. Maxie is a 14 year old dog, and we are unsure of whether his condition will improve or worsen in the next few days. We would appreciate any help given for his medical bills. A great many of you have met or seen Maxie through social media, and you know what a wonderful dog he's been for the past 13 years. We want to give him every chance to recover and stay with us a little longer. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly to his medical care.
