Hello everyone. It’s been a hard holiday season for my family. We got some news that no one would ever want to hear.
On Thanksgiving Eve, my 15-year-old niece, Lindsey, developed a headache that sent her to Easton Hospital’s Emergency Room. After a CT scan, they decided she needed to be transported to CHOP in Philadelphia for an emergency brain surgery.
Lindsey had a large tumor in her right frontal lobe that was removed the day after Thanksgiving.
Sadly, she was diagnosed with stage 3 glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, a few days after.
Lindsey has a long road ahead, which means her sister (Leah is a freshman at West Chester) and mother, Jennica, also have a long road to face and will not be able to work. Jennica is the sole provider in the house, so these ladies really, really need some funds and support to keep their home going while Lindsey continues treatment.
Lindsey will start radiation at CHOP on January 5. They will have to stay there during the week for treatment, 5 days a week, for a few months. She also has a genetic disorder, which adds to the complication.
Jennica works in elder care and is such a help to her community.
Please make any donations that you can. Every bit of generosity is so appreciated.
Please join us in praying that Lindsey can beat the odds and make a full recovery.
