Help Turkey Earthquake Victims

On the 6th of February, at 4:17am Turkey and Syria faced one of the worst national disasters the country has ever experienced. Two earthquakes, the first having a magnitude of 7.8, and the second with a magnitude of 7.5, ravaged through Nurdağı in Gaziantep province at 11 miles in depth. Over 12,000 are injured and hospitals and rescue services are stretched thin.

This earthquake has changed the lives of the people, forever. They witnessed unimaginable horrors, as a result of this disaster.. Buildings collapsed, people were trapped under rubble and time ran out for many who attempted to escape. People are devastated, hungry, wounded, and many are left orphaned. This is an opportunity to give what little support we can.

The Hikmah students from the Brentwood Muslim Community Center are collecting emergency funds. One hundred percent of donations will go directly toward Turkey in hopes of aiding as much as we can. Please help us in raising aid to send to our brothers and sisters who are suffering in this catastrophe of what is one of the seventh greatest natural disasters of the twentieth century.
