Help Me Continue My Education and Support My Family

Hi, my name is Grecia Soriano, and I’m originally from Peru. In 2019, I came to the United States on a scholarship to study and play volleyball while pursuing my bachelor's degree. This life-changing opportunity would not have been possible without the constant love, support, and sacrifices made by my family. After graduating in 2024, I came to Breckenridge, CO to work at a Real Estate Company.

Unfortunately, everything changed recently. My dad, who was the main provider for our family, suffered a severe stroke. It let him in really bad shape, and he has not been able to recover enough to work again. My mom is now the primary caregiver for both my dad and my younger brother back home in Peru, and our family is going through one of the toughest times we’ve ever face, emotionally and financially.

Despite everything, I’ve decided to continue my journey by pursuing a master’s degree, to start in August this year 2025. It’s not only a personal goal but a way for me to eventually be in a better position to support my family. However, with my dad no longer able to help financially, I am struggling to cover the cost some of on-campus housing—something that's essential for me to stay enrolled and focused on my studies.

This GoFundMe is to help me raise funds specifically for housing so I can stay on track in my master's program. I want to prove to myself, and to everyone who has believed in me, that I can overcome this difficult moment and rise above it. I also want to be in a place where I can start helping my family, just like they helped me get here in the first place.
