UPDATE: Dear friends- Sadly, we will need to reopen this Gofundme because the program that was supplying Cesar’s medicine has no more supply, and he is left with only enough for 15 more daily doses. Now that he is on the medication, his body can’t handle going off, and so they are in a scary situation. The medicine is exorbitantly expensive, so they are left again, with no option but to ask for help. Please donate what you can, and contact Jackie if you have any medical supplier connections. Please help our beloved friend, colleague and teacher Jackie Hazim, in her efforts to help treat her husband Cesar and restore his health. Since August, Cesar has been to multiple doctors, searching to find out what has been effecting his lungs. He was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called esclerodermia, which is causing pulmonary hypertension. His wonderful doctors here in the DR are searching for a solution, but there are other issues that have arisen that need to be addressed.

 

Medical professionals in Miami may have some answers, and our hope is to raise the money they will need to cover these initial medical costs for treatment. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated! All funds will go directly to Cesar’s medical costs, related recovery treatment and temporary related needs. Any funds they do not use will be donated to charity.
