Run With Roy Escobedo

Family & Friends and to those that don't know me my name is Sunshine. I'm setting up this page for my Uncle Rogelio Escobedo. As you know he's a outgoing, loving, strong, family man. He is also a barber and avid runner. Running is his passion. Months ago while running a trail he fell and hurt himself. His injury was not getting better he kept going to doctors for help. About 6 weeks ago he was admitted to Arroyo Grande hospital. We received a call that they had to fly him to UC Davis in Sacramento his injury was infected they had not seen a case as severe as this ,the infection had ate away the muscle in his leg hip and back it started attacking his bones they had to take action quick they did not know if they would be able to save his leg. He was in ICU for 3 weeks every day going into surgery. Everyday is a battle but he's getting stronger. What we know today is he has both legs ,the infection effected a lot of areas including his back eating away the bone and fracturing it where he also needed surgery. He will be at UC Davis for some time then brought back to Arroyo Grande hospital. He has a long road ahead of him but if anyone can do it then it's definitely Roy. This is his longest marathon and we will all be there at the finish line. We love you uncle. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as loss of wages and medical expenses are another obstacle in his journey.
